Steven Reznik & Jason Brienen, Brokers for Raymond James Financial Services, Accused of Mismanaging Client Funds

Have you lost money with financial advisors Steven Reznik (CRD #1067199), Jason Brienen (DRD# 2249998), or Raymond James Financial Services in Tallahassee, Florida?  Any investor who sustained losses after investing with the help of former Raymond James advisor should consult with a lawyer to determine how to recover their investment losses.

We are investigating allegations made by former customers of Steven Reznik and his brokerage firm, Raymond James Financial Services, for unauthorized trading and over concentrating in biotech stocks including Achaogen, Acardia Pharmaceuticals, Celgene, and many more in this sector. Some of these investment recommendations in biotech lost money while the overall stock market has been up for almost ten years.

Reznik has been the subject of nine customer complaints between 1998 and 2018, according to his FINRA CRD report.  Reznik was registered with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. in Tallahassee, Florida. Reznik, along with Raymond James, has 19 complaints against them.  Eleven of these complaints were filed in FINRA arbitration within the last year.

Additionally, fellow Reznik financial advisor, Jason Brienen, out of the same Tallahassee, Florida office, has been terminated by Raymond James.  Brienen’s customer complaints allege misrepresentations and unauthorized trading in the same biotech sector, purportedly leading to his discharge in July of 2018.  Raymond James reported Brienen violated certain heightened supervision requirements.

Pursuant to FINRA Rules, member firms are responsible for supervising a broker’s activities during the time the broker is registered with the firm. Therefore, Raymond James Financial Services may be liable for investment or other losses suffered by Reznik’s and Brienen’s customers. Brokerage firms also must take steps to ensure that their financial advisors follow all securities rules and regulations, as well as internal firm policies.

If you have suffered losses due to the actions committed by Steven Reznik, Jason Brienen, or Raymond James Financial Services contact our investment fraud attorneys at the law offices of Levin Papantonio or call 800-277-1193. There is no cost and no-obligation.
