| A Boynton Beach woman who suffers from a bone disease has filed a lawsuit against Novartis Pharmaceuticals, claiming that two drugs it manufactures caused the rare condition in her jaw. Carol Greenberg, 65, was diagnosed with osteonecrosis of the jaw in May 2003, two years after suffering painful symptoms that followed a root canal. | In a case dental malpractice involving a miner child, firm attorney Tim O'Brien obtained a judgment against Dr. Lucious Pelzer in the Circuit Court of Mobile County, Alabama in the total amount of $11,500,000. The Circuit Court entered the sizable judgment against Dr. Pelzer and his practice in accordance with the evidence presented by O'Brien, which demonstrated the extensive damages caused by the negligence of a dentist who inappropriately adminstered anesthesia to a youth during a routine dental procedure. | (September 14, 2006) In the property damage and medical monitoring class action lawsuit of Perrine, et al. v. E.I. Dupont, et al., the West Virginia trial court has ordered that the case may proceed as a class action. Class Action certification is an important step toward bringing the Plaintiffs' contamination-related claims to trial. Plaintiffs' counsel has until October 14, 2006 to provide the Court with a geographical map of the properties included in the class and to provide other information needed by the Court to notify class members.
